Join Phinney EcoVillage!

by Paul Andrews last modified May 19 10:59 PM

Hello, and welcome!

For the EcoVillage concept to work we need folks to sign up and offer their ideas, expertise and talents to the group at large. So we can refer one another, contact each other for help or advice, and just share what we have to offer.

It's easy to become a member.

Click on the "Join" tab to the direct upper right (about 45 degrees).

Fill out the registration form -- please enter your full name as you normally do in the first slot. Then, for your User Name, enter it as one word, e.g. AliciaSmith, with no spaces for ease of identification. Then enter your regular email, fill out the password slot with a password of your choosing, confirm the password -- and click on the lower button to register.

Then you'll get a welcome note that "You are now registered!"

It will ask if you want to go over to your folder. You can click on "folder" and that will give you a menu with a folder icon labeled "Home page for (your name)"

Click on that folder to open it and you'll be presented with a default document "Home page."

Click on the "edit" button on that box and voila! You can start entering any and all text you want, describing who you are, why you're interested, what you're looking for and what you can offer to the EcoVillage community.

This all then becomes searchable from the site's home page, and hopefully we can start to link people in lists. For instance, several folks are interested in backyard chicken coops. We can start a "Chicken Coop" list and share information, even help each other construct the coops.

There are lots of other topics as well. But the key is getting everyone to sign up and "profile" themselves. So have at it, and message me (site administrator Paul Andrews) at paul@paulandrews.com or by clicking here if you run into problems.

And thanks again for joining up!
